Layering combos stack two or more fragrances into something more personal: a vanilla base under sharp citrus, a musk that smooths an aggressive amber. The practice grew out of attar culture and body-care stacking, and now drives a steady stream of pairing recipes across our coverage — some houses even design releases specifically to be layered.
