Olibanum

Frankincense by its perfumer's name — cool resin-smoke shot through with citrus and pepper.

Olibanum is the gum-resin of the Boswellia tree, the same material sold as frankincense, tapped across Oman, Somalia and the Arabian Peninsula. A base-note pillar of incense and amber work, it smells lemony and bright before drying into a hushed, contemplative smoke.
