Note
Gardenia
Creamy, lush, intoxicating. A white flower with a green pulse and a mushroomy, almost buttery underbelly.
One of perfumery's great white florals, gardenia is voluptuous and milky with a wax-and-coconut richness underneath. The living flower yields no usable oil, so the note is reconstructed from jasmine, tuberose and lactones. Heady and tropical, it carries the swooning, slightly narcotic glamour of old Hollywood.
