Frankincense
Cool smoke and bright citrus-resin. The scent of cathedrals and meditation, distilled into a single material.
Tapped as a gum-resin from the Boswellia tree across Oman, Somalia and the Arabian Peninsula, frankincense smells lemony and peppery up top, turning into a dry, hushed smoke as it settles. A pillar of incense and amber compositions, prized for the sense of stillness and altitude it brings.
